Jonathan The Bum
Today I was a total bum. The most activity I had today was going to the station for about an hour and then cruising around Fort Wayne playing my stereo waaaayyyyy too loud. See, we got in a couple of copies of "Girls Gone Wild: The Music" last week and it's got some great stuff on it! "When it's time to party we always party hard!" Great tunes.
I talked to my mom today and she was telling me that the doctor called about my step dad's chest x-rays. He said that my step dad has an enlarged lymph node on one of his lungs. This doesn't necessarially mean anything bad but it's still a scary thought. He's the primary person who's taking care of my mom (in case you didn't know, she's confined to a bed/wheelchair because of some things that happened to her a few years ago) so if something were to happen to him she'd almost surely have to go to a nursing home. I don't know if you've heard anything about the nursing homes in Mississippi but let's just say that they're not the best in the world, especially the one in my hometown. The staff is constantly accused of abuse and they even had a hepatitus (sp?) outbreak recently. Needless to say, I don't like that thought at all. But I'm hoping and praying for the best. I know God will take care of everything.
Aside from that, I had a really good weekend. Last night was tons of fun and today was very relaxing. Tomorrow's promising to be pretty good too. I should have a fairly easy day at the station and me and Mandie are going to grab some ice cream at Coldstone (I've yet to go there and I hear that I'm in for a treat!) and then we're catching a movie at Rave. I think it's interesting that neither of us has seen Spiderman 2; but considering she was at camp all summer, I shouldn't be surprised. What's my excuse? Er... I don't know. I guess I was just waiting for the right time! :-p
Ok, I'm off. Going to talk to Mandie for a bit longer and watch the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. GIT 'ER DONE!
