It Came to Pass
I remember posting last night that I thought the 24 hour period after the said post would be interesting. Honestly, I thought more would happen than it did but it was interesting none-the-less.
My show day was really good. No one event really stuck out that made it good, I was just really on top of things today. I was in the zone, a place I haven't been very often lately. I hope it continues; the book starts soon LOL. Mandie learned the hard way that, short of any personal or other secret information, anything said around me can and may very well be used on the air. I was talking over the intro of "Southside" my Lloyd and Ashanti and I think the line went something like this: "Whatever happens on the south side stays on the south side, especially when you're nekkie." She said something about being "nekkie" at some point in our conversation so I just had to throw that in. She laughed.
I've also found an interesting motivational tool that I'll have to remember next time I'm struggling with my work out. I was doing a "cool down" on the bike and I was wanting to give up when I had about three minutes left. My legs were hurting and I was just generally ready to quit for the day. Anyway, I was trying to come up with a way to keep from giving up and then it just popped into my head: I just imagined that I was having sex! I thought to myself, "ok, pretend that this is sex. You're almost finished. Keep going." So I did. It worked! I not only worked harder but I also got through the last few minutes with no problem. I told the instructor about it and he said he had never had anyone admit to that and I think he was a little freaked out by the whole thing. Yeah, I'm wierd. By the way, I hope you weren't wireded out from that. I just thought it was funny. :-D
On a better (and more family friendly) note, I'm looking forward to this weekend. If all works out, I'm going to dinner with Mandie at some point this weekend. Hopefully that will go better than my last night on the town with a woman (you remember, the one whose name I forgot!). Mandie, if I do something stupid like that, you have full permission to slap the piss outta me. :-p
Well, I'm going to finish watching TV and then I'm going to sleep. Tomorrow's Thursday, one of my busy days.
