Blogging In the Rain

So I'm sitting in my apartment with my back door open and I'm listening to the rain. It's so relaxing! If I only had a tin roof, that would be perfect. I don't know how many people in this region of the country have tin roofs but sleeping with rain hitting a tin roof is something that everyone should experience. I can honestly say that that was the best sleep ever. I wonder what it is that makes someone so relaxed when they hear a rain storm or a light thunder storm. Hmm... I think I'll sleep with my window open tonight.

Overall today was a good day. Honestly, just a routine day as far as work goes. Did some adds, did the show, just the usual. I also worked really hard at the gym tonight and I'm paying for it now. I haven't been this sore in a long time but I did get in a great work out. I'm not sure why but I actually kind of like being sore after I work out. I suppose it's because I feel like I've accomplished something. Maybe that seems weird but it's true.

I want to thank everyone who left words of encouragement on my last blog post. It wasn't my intention to draw sympathy but I'm glad to know that there are people out there who care about me. So thank you very much! Mandie: Thanks for the ecard! You bet that we'll do something real soon! :-)

Still no word on a possible trip home. My boss was in meetings all day so I didn't get to talk to him about it. Hopefully I will tomorrow. I've decided that if I don't get to go home it's perfectly fine. I mean, it would be nice to be able to go home for a couple of days but, now that I think about it, it might be better to wait and go when I can spend several days there. That said, however, if I can't the chance I may very well take it. But I think I could survive a couple of months. As much as I miss my friends and family back home, again I'd rather be able to spend a lot of time with them than a little. So we'll wait and see.

Gonna grab some milk and then I'm hittin' the hay. Gonna enjoy this weather while I can. :-)
