Relaxing

After a very stressful and busy week it feels really good to be sitting on my couch and listening to Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" as I type these words. Don't get me wrong, I've loved every minute of this week because it presented new challanges and had some wonderful moments but it's been very tiring mainly because of my lack of sleep. Since I had to do mornings for most of this week (I usually do afternoons), my sleep cycle was all screwed up. So I've been draggin' the last few days. But, thankfully, I have tomorrow off so I plan to catch up on my sleep! :-D

Last night we did our pre-qualifying round of our slam dunk contest. It was a really good time! We saw some great slam dunkers and the crowd had a great time as well. We had to change the format and take the top three dunkers but the ones we got really did well. They'll be in the finals on March 5th during IPFW's game against Utah Valley State. If you'r ein the area, come check it out! If you're not, well, I'll tell you about it here next weekend.

Ah... "Fly Me To the Moon" by the Charman of the Board (that would be Sinatra) just came on! :-D

That song reminds me so much of Emily but that would be because that's exactly how I feel about her. She's been such a blessing to me in so many ways. Tonight we hung out for a bit and we were finishing each others sentences LOL. That's not the first time something like that has happened but it's just always cool when that stuff happens. To know that we're connected on such a level is an awesome feeling. BTW, we just celebrated four months. It feels like I've known her all my life, though. :-)

Speaking of Emily, I've finally named the fish she bought for me. I decided on Dory, after the forgetful fish from "Finding Nemo" who was so funny. Not that my fish is stupid, I just thought it was a cool name. I need to get a table and put the tank in my living room (she's currently in my kitchen). I don't really have a place for her in the living room right now and she always hides behind a rock whenever I walk in there. She just needs to get used to me is all and having her out in the living room will help that more.

I've rambled on enough. Time to take my tired ass to bed.

  • I like the name you chose for your fish. Believe it or not, I wanted to name your sister (Mary K, I think) "Dori Lynn". Your Mom thought that I was nuts!
