Happy Valentine's Day!

Today was a great Valentine's Day! Honestly, one of the best I've ever had.

Today started out very interestingly. We did our Valentine's Day nooner promotion today and that was an interesting time. The limo was an hour late to pick Van and I up at the station. Limo finally shows, we go about the promotion. See, we gave away a nooner (if you really have to ask what a nooner is, stop reading this and graduate high school... then you can come back and read). So Van and I had about an hour to just chill in the limo while the lucky couple was in the motel room doing the deed. I spent most of that time on the phone to my former Operations Manager from Meridian. The guy has finally landed a gig (well, mostly... money negotiation is always a bitch) and he was telling me about it. Ironically, it's back in Mississippi working for the company that owns our competition in Meridian. Isn't it strange how things work out sometimes? This is a weird business.

Fast forward to tonight when I left the station to pick up Emily for our night out on the town. I left the station and went to Hallmark to get a card for Em. I get to her house and we decide to exchange our gifts before we got to Biaggi's. She made my close my eyes and led me through her living room and made me sit down. When I opened my eyes, I saw my gift from her: A betta (pronounced beta) fish! Holy sox, I'm responsible for another living thing now! She's beautiful, probably going to turn blue. I haven't named her yet so I'm looking for suggestions. Feel free to leave a comment if you have an idea for a name. BTW, I got Emily a silver heart necklace. I also got her another gift but it hasn't come in yet. So I get to call customer service at the website I ordered her gifts from and chew them out. Guarenteed on Valentine's Day my ass. Anyway... Emily was beautiful tonight! Not that she doesn't always look beautiful but tonight she really looked hot. Man... I was blown away.

So we left and went to Biaggi's for dinner. Oh man, it was awesome! I can't remember what it's called but I had some angel hair pasta with a tomato sauce and seafood. It was great. After that we just chilled and talked some. I told her how this was the most special Valentine's Day I had ever spent with a girl. I took her home, got my fish and came home. As I got onto my road to my apartment, she called and told me that I really made her feel special tonight and that she really felt like a princess. That's really good because that's exactly what I wanted to do for her. :-) It truly was a great day.

At work, things may be about to get different. A decision has been reached on the Program Director's slot and it will be announced soon. Nope, I can't say who right now. Sorry. But the news will come soon enough.

I think I'm going to go to bed now. It's been an awesome day and, unfortunately, it's time to end it. Goodnight all!
