Sick

Being sick sucks.

Since moving in May, this is the first time I've been really sick and it bites a bit one. A cold's been going around the building and it finally got me. At first I thought it might have been the flu but I don't feel bad enough to have the flu (trust me, if I had the flu I'd be a lot worse off than I am) but I'm thinking this is a cold. So today I'm staying at home to rest and hopefully I'll be good as new in no time.

Tomorrow is Emily's birthday and I'm taking her out for dinner tomorrow night. And I don't even have to tell you what Monday is (yep, I'm getting hit with a double whammy!). But it's all good. I'm not really getting her anything for her birthday since Valentine's Day is Monday but I think what I got her will more than make up for it (no, mom, not a ring!). Thank God for Overstock.com! No, I'm not going to say what I got her (she does read this sometimes) but all I'll say was that I was torn between two items and I couldn't decide. So what did I do? Got both, of course. LOL

I'm not sure who knew this and didn't but I'm really wanting to make the next few days special because Emily and I went through a rough spot in our relationship a couple of weeks ago. I don't want to go into details... but we got things worked out and I'm very thankful for that. I think this may have been the proof that we both needed to help us realize that we can make it through the challanges that will surely befall us as our relationship develops.

Well, I'm going to end this now. I'm going to get a quick bite and the I'm going to take a nap. Tomorrow I'll be back at work so I need to get my strength up (honestly, though, I feel better today and I sound a lot worse than I feel). Until then... love, peace and chicken grease!
