10 things — some not so serious — to be thankful for this Thanksgiving

I posted this on my myspace blog but some of you don't visit that for whatever reason. :-p So I'm posting this here for your enjoyment. I "borrowed" this from The Meridian Star's website. Happy (belated) Thanksgiving!

10 things — some not so serious — to be thankful for this Thanksgiving

1.) Living in the "land of the free and home of the brave."

2.) When you renew your driver's license, you're only asked if your address is still the same — not your weight.

3.) The unconditional love of family and friends.

4.) Republicans are about to have a legitimate reason to blame Democrats for all the nation's problems.

5.) Blessings disguised as struggles.

6.) Britney Spears' dating life will soon be a national past-time again now that K-Fed is Fed-Ex.

7.) The warmth of home.

8.) No matter what the U.S. Postal Service puts it through, there's no way the fruitcake being mailed to us this holiday season can be damaged.

9.) Southern cooking (collard greens, corn bread, sweet potato pie, sweet tea, fried chicken).

10.) Pilgrims didn't spend their first winter in the new world dinning on sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie and skunk.
