It's been a long time coming...
My blog called out to me in a dream. It said "you have been neglecting me. Now I shall give you 10 lashes with a wet noodle."
I never knew noodles hurt so much.
So I'm obviously still alive. My life's been pretty boring by Earthly standards. I still don't work in radio, I still work at Rent A Center, I'm still single... oh wait, I don't think I was single the last time I wrote in here.
To make a long story short, Rachel kindda disappeared on me. I think when you don't talk to someone for about a month that's a sure-fire sign that things are done. Last week I found out the reason for her sudden disappearance: His name is Aaron. It's all good, I'm not mad. By the time I found out, I was already over it. In fact, I'm kindda seeing someone (can't really claim her as my girlfriend yet). Her name's Jess (kind of ironic if you've read previous posts) and I used to work with her when I was at Wild 96.3. We kept in touch since she left the radio station to move back home and when I realized that she didn't live far from where I work, I asked her out to dinner. Things are going well. We're taking it S L O W. And, yes, I mean that. Based on the success of my previous relationships, I'm in no hurry and I wanna make sure things are good to go before it moves any further than what it is now. So yeah.
God has been working wonders in my life. I've been inspired to finally work on a project that's always been in the back of my mind but I've never really given any serious thought to untill now. I can't really get into details at the moment but please be in prayer that God will bless this and that many lives will be changed through this.
Don't worry, I'll tell you more when I can. :-)
I've begun serving at the church in a way that really suites me and where I can use the skills I've picked up over the years for something greater than Arbitron. I've joined up with the Media Team, which are the people who are in charge of all the sound, lights and graphics. I just finished training on the soundboard (it's digital... and AWESOME) and this Sunday I'm serving as the "producer" for the worship services this Sunday. Basically I just make sure that things flow. I never thought I would ever be doing anything like this and I can't wait to see what happens with it. :-)
Currently, I'm going through the letters of Paul in the Bible. Let me say, it's pretty interesting. This morning I was reading in Romans and Paul talks about how people who have great faith will basically eat anything and people who have little faith will only eat vegetables. I had never noticed that before and found it interesting. If you wanna read it, check out Romans 14.
Well, that's about all I have. I hope I can post here a little more often. Until then... God bless!
