I haven't forgotten

I know I haven't written in here for a while. Between work, twisted knees and laptop trouble, I just haven't had much time. Of course, I wonder how many people even read my mindless gibberish. LOL

I'm doing well, minus the afore mentioned twisted knee. It was kindda stupid... I was at a hockey game with Emily last week and we decided to move down a row. Instead of taking the stairs like a normal person, I decided to be a dumbass and try to step over the seats. Not a good idea... I didn't have my right foot planted properly and I ended up twisting my knee. It's not 100% yet but it's better than it was. I can walk now and that's the most important thing.

Emily and I are doing well. In fact we're celebrating five months in about two hours LOL. I know it's amost midnight but the hour I told her I loved her was 1:30. So there you go. :-) We're not really planning to do much. She's going to come over when she gets out of school and I'm going to come over when I'm finished at the station. After that, who knows. We'll just have to see what happens. Honestly, I'm not picky. I just like spending time with her so it doesn't matter to me what we do.

Last night I talked to Jessica for about an hour. Jessica's one of my good friends from back home. It was nice to get to talk to her and catch up a little. I wish I could talk to more of my friends from home. I talk to some of them from time to time but there are many others that I wish I heard from, mainly people I went to high school with. I tracked down a girl who went to Neshobe Central (she graduated a year before I did) and we talk some. It's nice to talk to people from Philly sometimes. If by some chance you went to Philly High or Neshoba Central, hit me up! I'd love to hear from some people down that way.

I guess that's all I have. I need to clean my apartment some and get ready to hit the sack.

Peace out, be WILD!

STFU Award 3/11

I've decided that every so often, I'll give out a "STFU" (Shut The F**K Up) Award.

Today's winner is actually a double award to Michael Jackson and the media. To Michael because he's a freak and is (probably) a child molestor. He's milking his trial for all it's worth and I hope he thinks all of this is still so cool when she's in jail getting pounded in the ass and wearing a dress while being called Nancy. Sick and at the hospital? Bullshit. Yeah, he sick alright... sick in the head. Freak.

And to the media for sensationalizing this story. Michael Jackson is just another guy being tried for a crime that he (probably) committed. I'm sick of hearing about that and nothing but. Mt. Saint Helens is about to blow her top. We have murders and kidnapping taking place everyday. Are we hearing about it? No, we're hearing about the (accused) child molestor.

Michael Jackson and and media: STFU!

Hell Has Frozen Over!

If you listen to my station, you may think the title is a throw back to our theme last week. Nope, not the case. After our music meeting today I turned to Van and said, "dude, Hell has officially frozen over." We added a song that I never thought we would never touch.

Are you ready for this?

"Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson.

Yep, you read that correctly! :-p

We did some research and it tested well. So we're taking a chance on it. I did some research and we're not the only "rhythmic" station playing this song. But, man, it's going to sound strange to me. This is going to be an interesting week!

I start my long weekend tomorrow... thank God! I just need a break before the book starts and I'll be ok. After that, it's hard at it until the end of the ratings period. I can't wait to get started, I'm fired up. This may be my "famous last words" but I'm really feeling good about this one. We've been planning and if we execute, we're going to do well.

Otherwise, life is alright. I know my last posting was kind of depressing and I think I may have been suffering from the winter blues. The weather has sucked for the last couple of days. It snowed today! Again! AHHHHH!!!! I've seen enough snow to last me a lifetime. But if I stay here for any length of time, this is just the beginning. It's a trip, seeing all these people driving so well in this mess and me sliding all over the place. I'm half-assed looking at something with four wheel drive but, in reality, I doubt I'm getting a new vehicle anytime soon. I don't think I could get anyone to pay off my load on my truck and I don't think my credit's good enough to get a vehicle on my own yet.

That's all I have for now. Gonna watch some TV and go to bed.

Directions

Today's been one of those days where you really ponder the direction that your life is taking. I don't want to get into too many details about some of it but it's just been really trying for me lately. I've really been thinking about some things in my life and whether or not I should consider some changes. To be truthful, the only things I'm sure about these days are that I love Jesus with all my heart, I love my momma and I love Emily more than I've loved any other woman. As far as everything else, it's all up in the air. No, that doesn't mean that I'm going to quit my job or anything like that. Just means I'm seriously pondering the paths that some aspects of my life are taking.

Am I confused? Hell yeah.
