The Media and the Left: (Not So) Strange Bedfellows
Today, I was given yet another reminder of how far left most of the media has gone.
I was at the gym , doing my cardio, and I saw that CNN Headline News was on one of the TVs. Tuesday and Thursday are my light days for cardio so I was only in front of the TV for about 20 minutes. During that 20 minutes, I think John Kerry and/or the Democratic National Convention took up about 15 of those minutes. Also, they showed the same story about the "crisis" in Sudan twice in 10 minutes! This is just more proof that CNN, indeed most media, is much in favor of the Left's agenda.
You see, my friend, the media wants us to vote President Bush out of office. They have never supported him, not even once. Everything he does is "stupid", "mean" or "it helps the rich." Yet, anything Bill Clintoon (misspelling intentional) did was praised, even though HE is the one who led us into a recession, HE is the one who disgraced the highest office in the land by using the Oval Office as a whore house and HE is the one who refused Bin Laden's head on a siver platter.
"It only helps the rich." Isn't that always the cop-out answer for the left? Let's think for a minute about how many on the Left have butt loads of money. Let's see... I got it: Hollywood! They bitch and moan about what the rich does with their money, blah blah. Tell me, is there anyone who lives in Hollywood that DOESN'T live in a huge house or have about 20 cars? Anybody? That's what I thought. I'm willing to bet most of those Hollywood neo-Communists and Socialists don't give a rip about charity, unless it's in front of a camera.
But back to the media... another thing about tonight's viewing was twice showing the story about what's going on in Sudan. First of all, don't we have more important things to worry about in our OWN country? Do we really give a rats ass what's going on in Sudan? I sure don't because I have my own problems and I also think my country is more important than some third world s**thole on the other side of the planet. Before you bring up Iraq, we had intelligence that said that Iraq posted a threat to our national security. Was the intelligence wrong? How would I know, I'm not prevy to that information. All I can do is trust what OUR President says and thinks is best to defend OUR country.
One of the other big "stories" on Headline "News" was Ben and Jerry (as in, the ice cream guys) were arrested at a protest at a Sudanese embassy. Lah-de-freakin-dah! They were told to leave and refused to do so, therefore they were trespassing. They got what they deserved! Yet, the "news" network made them out to have been done an injustice. I tell you, it'll be a cold day in Hell before I ever buy a pint of their ice cream again.
And that's another thing that I don't get about the Left: They think getting arrested for their cause of the week means something. All it means is they broke the law, therefore they're morons.
Bottom line: The media and the Democratic Party are in cahoots. If you honestly don't believe that, then you're blind. The media will stop at nothing to get the liberals' message across and hope that you fall for their lies. My advice would be for you to be careful about what you watch and read because you never know who may be trying to brainwash you.

I have to laugh just because YOU work for the freakin' media...yes radio is considered media. You put a nice "spin" for the "right-wingers" but it still fails to sway me toward the dark side...There is a reason my father calls me "The Democratic Brat" and I am a bleeding-heart Democrat and proud of it. I'll leave it at that and have a great night.
